Facebook Shops – Online Stores on FB and Instagram
Facebook has introduced Facebook shops. Businesses can set up their store for customers to access on both Facebook and Instagram. It is free and very simple. Businesses can decide on the products they want to show and then customize the look and feel of their shop with a cover image and colors. Any seller, small or big, can take their business online.
You can see Facebook Shops on the Facebook Page or Instagram profile, or you can find them through stories or ads as well. You can place the order through the business’ website or within the app if the business has enabled checkout in the US. If you don’t know checkout, it’s a feature on Facebook and Instagram where you can buy a product without leaving the app.
And if you need help or support, you can message a business through WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram Direct. In the future, Facebook is planning to enable the feature wherein you can find products and buy right within a chat in WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram Direct.
Instagram shop
Facebook is introducing Instagram shop as well where you can buy products on Instagram Explore. You can see collections from shop, browse products you want to buy. Facebook said, at the end of this year, they will add a new shop tab in the navigation bar so that you can reach to Instagram Shop in just one go.
Live Shopping Features
Also, people can find products tag at the bottom of the live video so that people can easily tap to learn more and purchase from there. Facebook said they’re testing this and will launch in the coming months.
Working With Partners
Facebook has partnered with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, ChannelAdvisor, CedCommerce, Cafe24, Tienda Nube, and Feedonomics to support small businesses. These platforms are helpful for entrepreneurs to start and run their businesses online by building their Facebook Shops.
